Soaring over 500m into the skies of Seoul, Lotte World Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Korea, and overall, 6th in the world. Located to the south east of the sprawling metropolis, this sleek piece of architecture is part of an vast entertainment complex, with its own theme park and luxury shopping mall. So a visit here can last far longer than you would think!
Head up there on a clear evening to get the best view in town. The sheer size of the city is on full display, with the glistening lights shimmering in all directions, its also easy to forget how mammoth the Han River can be, but not when seen from 500m up!
The sky deck can get busy, especially during the weekend, we had a fair long wait to even get to the elevators, but it’s certainly worth the stalling. You are treated to several floors of wonder, with a complete 360 look at all angles of the skyline. For the brave, there are several clear glass platforms to walk over, for that extra bit of thrill. If you want a bit if fresh air, there is also an open air section, which can get very windy!
