High in Amsterdam…A’DAM Lookout

While the canals paint a lovely picture from the ground, if you want to get a 360 look, from 100m up in the sky, take a hop across the water….

A’DAM Tower is located just across the river from Amsterdam Central train station, take the signs to the ferry crossings, and take the free ferry service to the other side. The tower is within walking distance from the ferry stop, and can’t be missed, with its iconic red swing perched over its summit.

A’DAM Lookout is the observation tower located within, and on a bright sun soaked day, the views from here cannot be topped. There are 2 main levels, the first floor offering the panoramic views you would expect from the vantage point, and a cozy restaurant if you’re looking for a nice spot to have a drink. There’s also a rather fun VR experience, providing a thrilling roller-coaster ride across the Dutch capital. For a few Euros, its definitely worth a couple of minutes.

The main attraction is up on the roof, so make your way up the stairs to the open air rooftop. The beauty of The Netherlands can really be admired from here, with its numerous bodies of water interwoven with the urban sprawl. If you’re a fan of thrill, you’ll find a swing precariously hovering just over the edge of the roof. For an added price, you can enjoy probably the best seat in the city!

If that seems a bit too intense, you can simply enjoy the vibes, the bar, and the view. If you’re in Amsterdam, make sure to check this out!
