That Bridge from Inception, Pont de Bir-Hakeim

Paris is crammed with landmarks and sights, everyone is familiar with the like of the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées and Notre Dame. But there are also several little hidden treasures in the French capital. One of which is the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, one of the several bridges spanning the Seine in to the western side of Paris. Movie fans will be very familiar with its striking features….

The unique steel bridge, with the metro line directly running above it, was made infamous after being featured in the 2010 hit Inception, in which the symmetrical features of the structure were the perfect location to display the dream like setting the movie is setting up. The corridor of steel pillars provide a perfectly aligned view.

The bridge also offers an amazing view of the Eiffel tower and the majesty of the Seine on the east. On a clear sunny afternoon, this really is one of the best spots in Paris!
