On Film : Nezu Shrine

Nestled in the heart of Tokyo, Nezu Shrine offers a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. With its rich history, beautiful architecture, and stunning natural surroundings, this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the urban jungle.

We decided to walk to Nezu Shrine from our visit to Ueno Park, and I highly recommend this route if you’re looking to explore a side of Tokyo that’s often overlooked by tourists. As we made our way through the narrow, winding back streets, we were immersed in a different Tokyo — one that pulses with a quiet, almost forgotten charm. These alleys, tucked away from the bustling main roads, offer glimpses into the everyday lives of locals, with small cafes, quaint shops, and traditional houses that transport you back in time.

In this blog, I’ll take you through some of the most captivating moments captured at Nezu Shrine, showcasing its iconic vermilion torii gates, lush gardens, and timeless beauty. Whether you’re planning a visit or simply looking for a visual escape, these photos will give you a glimpse into one of Tokyo’s most serene getaways.
