On Film : Bern

Nestled in the heart of Switzerland, Bern is a city that feels like stepping into a fairytale. With its cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and the gentle flow of the Aare River, Bern invites you to slow down and soak in its understated beauty. From the iconic Zytglogge clock tower to the picturesque arcades that stretch for miles, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a seamless blend of history, culture, and natural wonder.

Bern is truly a magical journey back in time. The cobbled streets of the Old Town whisk you away to an era long past, where history seems to echo around every corner. Out of all the cities I visited during my adventure across this beautiful country, Bern stood out as the most photogenic—and that’s saying a lot!

While the Old Town is undoubtedly the crown jewel of the city, I couldn’t resist venturing across the river to the vibrant Rosengarten (Rose Garden). The trek was absolutely worth it, offering some of the most breathtaking views in all of Europe. Standing there, overlooking the terracotta rooftops and the winding Aare River, I felt like I was gazing at a living postcard.

Unfortunately, the city’s famous bears were nowhere to be seen during my visit—perhaps they were taking a well-earned nap. But hey, it gives me an excuse to come back!
