On Film : Bahia Palace

We were lucky to be staying just a few minutes away from this majestic attraction! The entrance is surprisingly modest, and you could easily miss it—so keep your eyes peeled. There was a slight queue for tickets, but nothing too time-consuming. Tickets for foreign nationals cost just 10 Dirhams, making it a budget-friendly experience.

There is a suggested route to follow, beginning with the initial entry hall and leading into a small riad, adorned with the delicate scent of orange blossoms from the trees. The next section is the true highlight—the grand courtyard, a breathtaking expanse of blue, with palm trees peeking over the surrounding walls. Some parts of the palace were under renovation, with scaffolding in certain areas, but it didn’t take away from the spectacle. Be sure to take your time admiring the intricate mosaic work on the floors and walls of the passageways.

The walk continues through the garden, though unfortunately, much of it was closed off during our visit, so we took a more direct route back.

This is definitely a must-see if you’re visiting the bustling Red City. And a final piece of advice—be sure to stop by the Culinary Museum right next door for some amazing tea!
