Soaring over 500 meters into the Seoul skyline, Lotte World Tower stands as the tallest skyscraper in Korea—and the sixth tallest in the world. Located in the southeastern part of the city, this sleek architectural marvel is part of a massive entertainment complex that includes a theme park, luxury shopping mall, and more. Safe to say, a visit here can easily turn into an all-day adventure.
For the best view in town, head up on a clear evening. From the top, Seoul stretches endlessly in every direction, a sea of shimmering lights that truly shows off the city’s scale. And if you’ve ever underestimated the size of the Han River, that’ll change the moment you see it from 500 meters up—it’s breathtaking.
Be warned: the Sky Deck can get busy, especially on weekends. We had quite a wait just to reach the elevators, but trust me, it’s worth the delay. Once you’re up there, you’re treated to multiple floors of panoramic wonder with a full 360° view of the skyline. For the thrill-seekers, there are glass floor panels you can walk over (if you dare), and if you’re after a literal breath of fresh air, there’s even an open-air section—though be prepared, it can get seriously windy!
