If you’re visiting Lisbon, do yourself a favour and hop on a train heading west. In just 40 minutes, you’ll arrive in Sintra — one of the most magical towns Portugal has to offer.
Tucked away at the foot of the Portuguese hills, Sintra feels like something out of a fairytale. Colourful pastel buildings line cobbled streets, and centuries-old palaces perch dramatically on lush, forested hillsides. Around every corner, you’ll find sweeping views that beg to be photographed.
