Discovering Lynmouth: Devon’s Hidden Coastal Gem

A Seaside Secret Worth Sharing

Tucked away where the wild moors meet the rolling waves, Lynmouth is one of North Devon’s most enchanting hidden gems. Picture the cliffside villages of the Italian Riviera, now add a touch of English charm, and you’ll have an idea of its magic. Cradled between steep valleys, this seaside haven blends European elegance with the timeless warmth of a traditional Devon coastal town.

Getting there is quite the adventure, with narrow, winding roads and steep inclines that make the journey part of the fun! We were based about 30 minutes away, so it was a lovely, scenic drive through the rolling Devon countryside. The reward at the end was more than worth it, the weather held up (for the most part!) and I managed to capture some incredible photos.

The town itself is small but wonderfully cosy, with plenty of charm packed into its narrow streets. Parking is conveniently close and surprisingly affordable, so that’s one less thing to worry about.
